Anglo Coal Gabions
Location: Moranbah,
Queensland
Prospect Contractors installed a series of weirs and spillways in a man-made dam structure at the Anglo Coal mine. The project consisted of 3057 cubes and 2550m2 of Renos. A 900m long x 1m high freestanding, double-faced wall has also been constructed.
BHP Billiton Mining Dump Wall
Location: Pilbara,
Western Australia
Prospect Contractors installed an
8 level Gabion dump wall at the iron ore mine site in Western Australia. The Gabion wall will provide a stable platform from which heavily laden trucks can tip their loads into the primary crusher.
North Star Project Terramesh
Dump Wall
Location: Marble Bar,
Western Australia
The North Star Magnetite Project will potentially produce up to 15 million tonnes of magnetite annually. Prospect Contractors constructed this Terramesh dump wall which allows large loaders to tip iron ore into the crushing plant from above.
The Gabion dump wall is 11.5m high x 87m long. The Gabion wall incorporated ParaGrid (two-directional geogrid made from high-strength polyester straps) laid between each Terramesh unit for additional soil reinforcement.
Pluto Project
Location: Karratha,
Western Australia
Prospect Contractors constructed a remote pad for a metering station at the Pluto LNG project in Karratha.
We also constructed 5m high Gabion retaining walls along either side of the new roadway, into the Stage 2 Pluto site.
